PENRHOS LLIGWY SSSI
These remnants of heathland on
infertile sandstones support marsh gentian and other heathland
species. Management here uses a combination of controlled burning
and pony grazing. The middle section (which along with the northern
section is open access land) is separated from the southern remnant by a conifer plantation on former heathland.
